Endurance Special

7 nights from €1500

Have you always wanted to take part in an endurance race and learn more about the sport? Here is your chance.

  • Morocco

  • Set arrivals

  • 7 nights

  • 5-7 hours of riding per day

  • Ouarzazate Airport

  • Group size: 9 max

On this riding holiday, you will be introduced to endurance riding alongside Rena and her horses; you will learn all about preparations, how a vet check works, and what to keep in mind. Together with the group, you will then participate in a real 40 km endurance race in Morocco—though there is no winner in this specific race. It serves as a qualifying event for longer endurance rides. Once you have qualified, you will be eligible to compete in official 60 km endurance races in Morocco within the next two years.

Important information:

  • Training sessions mostly involve trotting and cantering. To spare the horses, you will ride your designated race horse only once a day; a different horse will be provided for the second training session.
  • There is a mandatory dress code for the race: riding breeches, a white polo shirt, a riding helmet, riding boots or shoes (or trekking shoes), and chaps or riding socks. You also need a wristwatch to track your riding time.
  • The maximum weight limit is 70 kg; no exceptions can be made.
  • You should bring a sleeping bag for the nights spent in tents.
